Goodlord & DAS UK Group win "Claims Partner of the Year" at Insurance Times Awards
Goodlord and DAS UK Group jointly won "Claims Partner of the Year" at the 2020 Insurance Times Awards, recognising their market-leading Rent Protection & Legal Expenses Insurance policy which ensured that landlords, agents and tenants stayed protected throughout the pandemic.
Goodlord and DAS UK Group have been jointly awarded "Claims Partner of the Year" at the 2020 Insurance Times Awards. The accolade recognises their market-leading Rent Protection & Legal Expenses Insurance policy.
The policy offered by Goodlord and DAS UK Group enables letting agents to file claims on behalf of their landlords in less than 10 minutes, as well as offers a meditation service which was introduced in the Spring and has helped resolve a third of claims to date without the need for litigation.
The companies have kept their policy under constant review throughout the pandemic to ensure that landlords, agents and tenants remain protected despite the ever-shifting nature of eviction guidelines and rental regulations. The policy pays for up to 12 months worth of rent, ensuring both letting agents and landlords are protected during any legal proceedings.
In response to increased notice periods requirements, for example, Goodlord and DAS UK Group made the decision to pay landlord claims during the 90-day period covered by the Coronavirus Act. This ensured landlords weren’t out of pocket and enabled meditation procedures to take place - helping keep thousands of tenants in their homes during the pandemic.
Oli Sherlock, Head of Insurance, Goodlord, comments:
“As a team, we’ve been working closely with our partners at DAS UK all year to ensure that our insurance products continue to serve their purpose. It’s fantastic to receive this award and be recognised for our commitment to providing the very best insurance provision on the market.”
David Swigciski, Director, Client Services,DAS UK Group, said:
