The solution: Protection from day one

Bourne integrated Goodlord’s Rent Protection immediately after onboarding, helping them protect revenue, streamline processes, and win new instructions.

Goodlord recently enhanced its Rent Protection and Legal Expenses Insurance to reflect the changes coming in the Renters’ Rights Act, now including:

  • First month’s rent protection: If a tenant moves in but doesn’t pay the first month’s rent, that amount is covered.

  • Section 13 tribunal cover: Covers the difference between the old and proposed rent for up to six months if a tenant disputes a rent increase and it goes to tribunal.

  • £1,000 property damage cover: Often double what a a standard deposit would cover.

“One of the key benefits is that there’s no cap on payments. A lot of competitors have a six-month payment cap, which doesn’t always benefit our clients, especially with court wait times being so long at the moment."

Becky recalls a recent claim where Goodlord supported them through the process and the landlord re-instructed them after the case - “we kept our management fees, and more importantly, had a happy client at the end of it.”
