Start readingTime saving for agents and tenants
Most of that time saving comes from the initial stages, when putting together the tenancy agreement for tenants to sign. "We save the most time on drawing up the tenancy agreement, which Goodlord does very quickly," says Sarah. "A lot of things are already pre-selected, so you just have to click a couple of buttons."
This online, automated process helps the agency avoid the need to print and post the agreements between clients and the agency's office. "Previously, we'd get people taking photos of each signed page, and then I'd have to print all of those, scan them, save it - that was so time consuming and painful."
Getting more done in your day - with less stress
The automation helps the whole team take more confidence in what it can accomplish in a day, helping to alleviate stress. "It's such an automated system, we don't have to constantly check in on everything," says Sarah. "Our negotiators recently had five deals in a day. Had that been on our old system, I'd have been quite stressed putting those deals through the referencing, and our negotiators would have been wary about getting them all through in time.
"With Goodlord, they know I'm perfectly happy to put five through in the day and it doesn't take up all of my time. Everyone has a login so, if I'm busy and I can't help or I can't check something, someone else can log in. It's so straightforward, everyone can have that visibility over what's happening."
The e-signing is a complete lifesaver - helping us save at least two hours per let alone.

Visibility across all processes in one place
This visibility means that anyone can see the stage of a tenancy at a given moment - with no need for manual updates. "We used to rely quite heavily on a whiteboard to see where each tenant was in the referencing process," says Sarah.
"Now, I just log into Goodlord, have a quick look at what's going through referencing and what hasn't yet been sent to tenants, all in one dashboard."
Electronic signing and a complete audit trail
What's the one Goodlord feature that Sarah couldn't do without? "The electronic signing is my favourite thing by far, to be able to click a button and get it back fully signed - plus, you've got a complete audit trail so no one can dispute anything. It's a complete lifesaver - helping us save at least two hours per let alone."
This can cut down time for the agency staff but also for tenants too, who no longer need to come into the branch as frequently. "Goodlord offers such a simple process that tenants don't come in with any questions or to sign - it means that they don't need to come into the office anymore because everything just happens so smoothly, all online."
Generating extra revenue
Goodlord's extra products and services, which its customers can offer to tenants and landlords, also helps White & Sons to earn some extra income. "We easily generate revenue via the Rent Protection Service for the landlords, and through commission on the utilities and the contents insurance for the tenants," says Sarah.
"Without pushing it, we generate income just from tenants choosing the extra services themselves. When we really start upping our game and promoting these extra services to our tenants a bit further, it will maximise our income a lot more."
Extra resources to understand customers
"The Agent Hub is great. There's a plethora of fantastic resources to tap into and find the answer without having to call or ask someone," says Sarah.
This resource hub for Goodlord customers helps support agents to use the online platform in the best way possible, and really understand its audience too, through the performance statistics provided. "Seeing all of our data insights into our agency is really interesting," says Sarah.
"It's great to be able to see things like the average age of our tenants or how long it takes us to progress a tenancy compared to the average. We'd never have known that before. We're quite below the average of days that it takes to complete the tenancy on Goodlord - so it's really nice to see that information."
